Assignment 8: Online Comics

Pepper & Carrot < comics website

I read lots of episodes in this website, such as the sage of the mountain.
Although some of the story are too naive, but I really like the painting style.
I can easily guess what will happen in the story, but with the painting style, also some good words to learn, I'd love to read more episodes.
Hope to update quickly, but keep the quality of the painting, btw.

Assignment 7: Story

Turtle's Flute

1.cry for help

something someone says or does that shows that they are very unhappy and need help

example: If anyone had been crying for help, the firemen must have responded by now.

2.hut

a small simple building with only one or two rooms

example: He walked down the path to the little hut.

3.groan

to make a long deep sound because you are in pain, upset, or disappointed.

example: The kids all groaned when I switched off the TV.

The story is talking about a turtle that can play the flute. She plays so well that the animals around all like her. But there's a human wants to eat the turtle, so the human lied to turtle that he wanted to hear she play the flute, when the turtle is going to play, the human grabbed the turtle and ran to his hut. Luckily, there are only some children to keep the turtle in the cage, so the turtle played her flute and danced at the same time to attract their attention. Later, the turtle said she need to take a walk to loosen her stiff legs, and she ran into the jungle, hid at the place nobody knows. But sometimes, we can still hear the turtle playing her flute in the forest.
